STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe there is only ONE God in three forms (the Trinity): God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:4-6 / Matthew 28:18-20)
We believe God is the creator of our universe and did so literally as recorded in the creation account from the book of Genesis. (Genesis 1)
We believe Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, born of a virgin coming to earth to provide the only way for us to enter into a relationship with God through His death, burial, and resurrection! (John 14:6)
We believe once we have entered into the relationship with God, through Jesus the Son, He places His Holy Spirit in us. (John 14:26 / Acts 2:37-38 )
We believe God’s Word, the Bible, is God’s message to mankind and helps us understand His pleasing, perfect will for our relationship with Him and how to live in His way. (2 Timothy 3:16-17 / Heb 4:12-13)
We believe God created us in His image for the purpose of having a relationship with us and in His infinite wisdom and love, allows each individual free choice in accepting a relationship with Him. (Genesis 2 / Joshua 24:14-15 / Matthew 7:13-14)
We believe the only way to have a relationship with God the Father is to accept God the Son (Jesus Christ) as the Lord and Master of our lives and as an individual we must:
• Hear God’s Message of love and forgiveness through God’s Holy Spirit inspired Word. (Romans 10:17)
• Believe God’s Message is true and because of our sin we cannot have a relationship with God unless it is through the salvation of his Son, Jesus.(Hebrews 11:6)
• Repent from our sin which separates us from a relationship with God. (Acts 2:37-38)
• Acknowledge/Confess
• Baptized, by immersion, as a covenant seal into the Kingdom of God. This represents the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ and thus showing ultimate repentance and obedience in washing away our sin and allowing God’s Spirit to enter into our core being. (Romans 6:1-4)
• Walk in the Spirit as we freely surrender our lives to God’s Will and obey His commands. (Romans 12:1-2)
We believe those who have entered into a relationship with Jesus Christ are now part of God’s Family, the Church, and now called Christians followers of the Way! (John 14:6 / 2 Corinthians 5:19)
The Church is made from Christians of different maturity levels and abilities. As a family we encourage each other to follow His Way and Praise Jesus as King through fellowship (loving each other), breaking of bread (communion/Lord's table), apostles doctrine (teaching from the Bible/God's word), and prayer (speaking/communication with God). (Acts 2:42- 47)
As a church body we desire to Delight God and we believe He has empowered us to be kind, just, and righteous. (Jeremiah 9:24)
